How Social Media Can Be Part of God’s Marvelous Work

In Doctrine and Covenants 4:1–3, we learn about the “marvelous work” of God and the dedication it takes to serve Him. These verses say:

"Now behold, a marvelous work is about to come forth among the children of men. Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength."

This powerful scripture reminds us that God has a plan, and He invites us to help with it. With today’s technology, one way we can join in His work is through social media.

How Social Media Can Be Used as a Marvelous Work

Social media has become a tool that reaches people worldwide. Here are a few ways I've seen social media used to bring about good:

Sharing Uplifting Messages

Many people share scriptures, inspirational quotes, and personal stories of faith that help lift others up. These posts often bring hope and encourage kindness among

friends and followers.

Supporting Each Other

Social media makes it easy to connect with people who might be struggling. A quick message, a positive comment, or even a shared post can make someone feel less alone and more loved.

Teaching and Testifying

Some people use social media to share what they believe about God and their faith. By sharing their testimonies, they invite others to learn more about Jesus Christ and feel His love.

My Role in Using Social Media for Good

Social media can be a powerful way to serve God, and I want to do my part. Here’s how I hope to make a positive difference online:

Be Kind and Respectful

I want my posts and comments to make others feel valued. I’ll try to be uplifting, kind, and supportive, even if we don’t always agree.

Share My Beliefs

When the time is right, I’d like to share parts of my faith that are meaningful to me. My hope is that my words might inspire others or make them curious about God’s love.

Help Spread Positivity

I plan to use my social media to share things that are true, kind, and helpful. By focusing on positive messages, I can play a small part in bringing God’s “marvelous work” to others.

Doctrine and Covenants 4:1–3 teaches us that God’s work is marvelous and that He invites us to help. Social media is just one way to do that! By sharing kindness, hope, and faith, we can use our online presence to serve Him and uplift others.
